Re: Auria questions

I assume you're talking about using the Mixdown feature, then selecting Dropbox or SoundCloud? It might be related to the soundcloud issue posted in another thread. If you can get it to happen every time, would you mind sending me a zip file of the project? Then tell me what to do to make it crash. ...

Re: No SoundCloud export

I just tried this here and I couldn't get it to crash. I selected: Locator Range MP3 128kbps Channels: Stereo Only Upload to SoundCloud checked I press OK, it processes for a while, then the SoundCloud box pops up. I press Private, then Upload. I get a message that it worked. I wonder what's differe...

Re: Looks like Alesis io dock is best

It all depends on what you need to do. If you're just recording 2 channels at once, the iO Dock is great (has it's own power, powers the iPad, no hub needed), but if you need more inputs (like 16+ if you're recoding a whole band), there are other great interfaces available.

Neil,

I've asked Overloud to jump in here, as I'm not exactly sure about the answer.

Thanks,

Re: Drumagog in Auria

Yes, you can easily load your own wav files. Just choose (documents folder) from the Drumagog folder selector. You need to make sure your wav files are in Auria's main (root) folder first. You can use iTunes File Sharing to copy them there.

Re: The Working / Not working audio interfaces thread

From what we've been able to gather, the Blue Icicle is not compatible with the iPad (it's not class compliant). Maybe they'll update it. There's only one interface that fits the bill (battery powered), but it's a tad expensive: http://www.sounddevices.com/products/mixpred/ One of our beta testers u...

Re: Combine Regions

Sorry, I was responding to his second question, which was using audio copy/paste for copying regions. There's no true "consolidate" feature in Auria yet, but it looks like we may add it in a future update.

Thanks,

Re: Punch-in recording MUST HAVE !

We will be adding count-in soon, I agree this is an important feature.

Manual punch in is a bit harder to implement, but it's on our list as well. Have you tried Auto-punch? It's just a matter of setting locators to your in and out positions, then enabling auto punch (in the transport menu).

Re: project size-data management?

That's a good idea, thanks.

Yes, when you use the Save Copy or Project function, Auria will make a copy of the project, along with all the audio files. Useful is you're about to do any destructive edits, and you want to make a backup.

Re: No SoundCloud export

Strange. I just tried it here, and it doesn't crash for me. Sometimes "crashes" are really app kills from your iPad. If your iPad determines that an app is taking too much memory, it will simply shut that app down (sometimes without a warning). The mp3 conversion takes a bit of memory, dep...

Re: First cpu overload

Exactly. Auria on an iPad 1 is pretty hard going.

Have you tried increasing the record latency in the settings? With a higher latency you should be able to squeeze a lot more out of the iPad 1's CPU when running plugins live.

Re: Combine Regions

Do you mean something like the "consolidate" option in many DAWs? Take a track that has a lot of edits on it and create one region out of it? Actually you don't need to use AudioCopy/Paste, you should use Copy and Paste. AudioCopy is only for moving audio out of Auria and into another app....
