Re: 1818vsl audio out question
FWIW, the Presonus 1818 has hardware gain controls for every channel, so there's no need for external software to set levels. I know for a fact that the monitor level knob on the front of the Focusrite interfaces only adjusts the monitor level on the jacks in the back, and has no effect on the headp...

Re: Drumagog in Auria
Yes, that's exactly right. The Drumagog that's available in Auria is virtually identical to the one for the Mac/PC. It's mainly only missing some of the processing features like Convolution reverb, Morph engine. You can even use the same gog file libraries from the Mac/PC Drumagog (although it comes...

Re: Echo goes to 14.99 ??
Anthony, I completely agree with you. The price changes on plug-ins are totally out of our control. It's up to each plugin developer on what they want to charge... That said, we haven't had any more requests to raise plug-in prices. From what I understand, PSP had made a mistake on the original pric...

Re: 1818vsl audio out question
From what the focusrite engineers told us, this is correct - you can set up the 18i6 (or 8i6) with your preferred monitor mix (using the mix control program on your mac/pc), and it will remember this setting. The caveat is that the monitoring is only available through the monitor output jacks on the...

Re: Memory warning and crash
OK, thanks. My suggestion is a more general one, and it's certainly possible that something else is going on in your particular case. Do you think that the freezing process itself might be causing this?
Thanks,

Re: Importing audio files via Dropbox
Auria will import any WAV , AIFF or MP3 file. It can be either mono or stereo. There's an issue that i've already solved (will be in the next update) which deals with importing wav files from Beatmaker. Apparently the wav files that beatmaker generates have some extra data in between chunks that mak...

Re: 1818vsl audio out question
Yes, the Out 1&2 jacks on the back of the 1818VSL can be used for monitoring, and that works well. The 1818VSL is the ideal interface for use with an iPad if you need a lot of mic inputs (XLR). If you attach a preamp, you can get 16 mics into an iPad easily. The Focusrite 18i6 is a little better...

Re: Memory warning and crash
No, a genius won't help. There's nothing wrong with your iPad. It's just a matter of being very careful with memory management, You iPad will kill Auria automatically if it feels that it's taking too much memory, so that's probably the reason for the crash (it wasn't a crash in this case, but a forc...

Re: Memory warning and crash
Since iOS handles memory, and gives absolutely no control over memory management to developers, the memory meter is definitely not an accurate gauge of memory ;) It's purpose is to give a rough idea of the amount of memory left. For example, if you remove a plugin that took a lot of memory, sometime...

Re: Focusrite
We've seen a lot of reports about the non-genuine Camera Connection Kits not working properly with iPads. That's the most likely issue here. The USB/INT display in Auria is tied directly to Apple's code which detects a USB device, so if that's not turning on, the iPad's not seeing a USB device. Do y...

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
Previewing audio files from dropbox is not feasible, because for WAV and AIF files, Auria would need to download the entire file first (could take 20-30 minutes for some files).

Re: Memory warning and crash
This shouldn't be happening with a fresh run of Auria (after a reboot of your iPad). If your memory meter says 208MB, and you're getting memory warning messages, something else is going on (maybe a bug?). Can you tell me exactly the steps you do to get this warning? If I can duplicate this here, I c...

Re: Ipad2 with Alesis Iodock, how compatible with Auria?
Yes, the ioDock will work great with Auria, and this is a good solution for 2 channels in and out. There's no direct way to move files between garageband and other apps (garageband doesn't support Audio Copy/Paste). But you can move the garageband files off your ip[ad, onto your Mac or PC, then back...
