Free SFZ instrument for Lyra

Post by jdsnyderii » Sun Jul 10, 2016 2:20 pm

Hello everyone

One of the things that really attracted me to using Auria Pro was the Lyra Player that is built in. There are lots of samples out there that lend themselves to the SFZ format. But, one of the limitations it that Lyra only supports SFZ 1.0 opcodes. I use Sforzando (and other Aria instruments) and decided that I would try my hand at programming a 1.0 spec set of Strings for use as a nice Expressive Strings instrument. Listen Here

You can find the instrument at Dropbox here:
SCC Expressive Strings

To install the instrument, simply use iFunbox to drag the ZIP archive into the top level of Auria Pro and it will auto-expand.
There is a sample Auria project and MIDI file so you can see how the instrument works. Just import it as needed. I used the samples provided by S. Christian Collins and programmed them for the SFZ 1.0 spec.

An update for people using more recent iOS versions. If you just use the ‘copy to Auria’ option it will be automatically expanded as an instrument in Auria.
