Additional percussion with metronome/click

Post by leem » Sat Apr 13, 2019 7:51 am

I was wondering if anyone has any tips on adding additional percussion to the metronome/click track, to make is easier to record dums with? The metronme in Auria is very basic, and the quarter note metronome gets buried in the mix when tracking, it would be helpful to have 8th notes, or accents, or even a simple drum loop playing hihat/shaker, with kick and snare to listen to while tracking drums. Is there an easy way to do this with a MIDI file?

If you import any MIDI file with drums or percussion mapped to the General MIDI Layout you can easily assign a Lyra sound to them. If you go to the Auria Store there are several free drum packs for Lyra. The ElektroMorph pack has a phenomenal kit called Natural Kit that has multisamples for both velocity and round-robin.

Thanks, do you have any tips on how to get MIDI files with a pattern, and can you set them to loop/repeat?
