Crashes with Audiobus
Crashes with Audiobus
in Audiobus mode, audiobus set to 512, auria record latency (samples) ANY, version 1.091
Launch audiobus, setup jamuppro xt, as input, no effects, auria as output. auria crashes after 10-20 seconds of recording.
Also getting digital artifacts (pops/clicks)during playback on recordings were clean previously.
Audio recorded without audiobus direct from 18i8 is clean-no issues.
I have adjusted the audio record latency (samples) all the way to 4096, usb soft start both on and off.
This is very repeatable. No such issue with output set to garageband?
Let me know if I can provide any other details.
Please advise,
Rick

Re: Crashes with Audiobus
Do you get these crashes without the 18i8 connected? There are definitely issues with using Audiobus and a multichannel USB interface.

Re: Crashes with Audiobus
Hmm?, hard to test that scenario. I have no way to input the guitar to jamup pro without using the 18i8.
Re: Crashes with Audiobus
Jam Up should work fine with the internal mic. There should be no need to plug a guitar into it to see if it crashes. I just want to confirm that this is related to the issue with multichannel interfaces and audiobus.

Re: Crashes with Audiobus
Ok, I see. I will do the test shortly and let you know. Is there a way to enable debugging or verbose logging within auria? In all cases audiobus remains up. And like I mentioned in the OP, only auria is having troubles, that "other" recording app does not crash under the same test.

Re: Crashes with Audiobus
Auria uses Audiobus in a different way than other apps (for example, GarageBand is input only). To help me determine the cause, could you please make it crash again, then add some text to the crash report when it asks you (the next time you start Auria). THis way, I can find it in the crash reports.
Thanks,
Rim

Re: Crashes with Audiobus
Internal mic setup: launch audiobus jupxt as input auria as output and all worked well for 1 minute recording. Track captured was just normal rooms sounds, no guitarish sounds even though input was jupxt?
Re: Crashes with Audiobus
Ok will do in an hour or so. I will include nicadrick in the crash report . There were a few crashes reported last night as well. Rick,
Thanks - got them. This particular bug should be fixed already in 1.10, which will be going into Apple review in the next day or two.
