CANNOT INDIVIDUALIZE MULTIPLE RECORD INPUTS
Hi. Thanks for reading this. I'm using an Allan & Heath Zed FX mixer/interface. I'm recording 3 tracks. Track 1 is a drum machine tract that I pasted in from the DM1 Drum Machine app. It appears to be in stereo. Then I'm adding a mic-ed guitar on tract 2 (microphone input 1), and a mic-ed vocal on tract 3 (microphone input 2). For some reason, there is no isolation of the tracks. All the mics and drum track record equally on all the tracks. The drum track (#1) records on to track #'s 2&3. The microphone tracks also record on all tracks at once. There is no separation or isolation on the individual tracks. Got any ideas as to what I may be doing wrong? In advance, thank you for your input!

Allen & Heath designed the following models:
ZED-10, ZED-10FX, ZED60-10FX, ZED60-14FX, ZED-12FX, ZED-14, ZED-16FX, ZED-18, ZED-22FX, ZED-24, ZED-420, ZED-428, ZED-436, and ZED POWER 1000
to have a 2in/2out USB 1.1 interface.
The ZEDi8 is 2in/2out over USB2.0 and the ZEDi10, ZEDi10FX is 4in/4out over USB2.0
So more then likely your mixer sums all of the channels to a single stereo (or split mono) output.

Re: CANNOT INDIVIDUALIZE MULTIPLE RECORD INPUTS
Hi Corey, Thanks for your response. Does this mean that with an Allen & Heath mixer I will not be able to record multiple individual tracks at one time? Will they all bleed into each other all the time? Thanks so much for any help you might have!

Re: CANNOT INDIVIDUALIZE MULTIPLE RECORD INPUTS
With that mixer, you will only get a stereo send from USB. Even if you use ever channel on the board, you will only get a stereo send.
Re: CANNOT INDIVIDUALIZE MULTIPLE RECORD INPUTS
You may be able to get away with two simultaneous separated tracks if you hard pan one channel left and one right on the A&H board. Then, in Auria make two mono tracks and set one to 'input L' and the other to 'R' and you should get two isolated tracks recorded in.
