Re: Splice for versioning, backup and collaboration

Thanks @rim. Is anyone else here using splice on desktop?.. No, I don't work for them, but it's a great learning tool and much better than Dropbox for backup. Some big names are sharing their project files on there and I've learnt loads by pulling them apart. I'd love to see a sharing community like...

Splice for versioning, backup and collaboration

@rim. I haven't seen any discussion of splice.com on this forum. It's a great tool for desktop daws and would be awesome for auria integration. All the cool kids are using it.

Re: Jam Origin's MIDI guitar 2 users?

MIDI guitar 2 does work with Auria and Lyra. I have played around with it a bit and recorded the midi it produces. There is quite a bit of lag though on my iPad Air 2. It might be better on a pro. I would recommend playing around with the demo version before forking over any cash. You have to play v...

Kickstarter to fund another developer for RIM.

I for one would donate and I think plenty of others would too. You have built a great app and a great community around it, and lets face it, you deserve a holiday!

Re: v2.03 Submitted to Apple

I love the graphics update for the inserts but it does seem to spell the end of my dream for reorderable inserts. I'd love to be able to switch the order of inserts without having to save the presets for each, then remove the inserts, then add them in a new order, then reapply the preset. A lot of D...

Fantastic... So quick with the updates. Will Apple do a quick review on this one?

Re: Transpose function chewing resources.

Yes, I have a project I can send to you that has this problem. I'll send it to your drop box and name it TestTranspose. The project is looping. When I hit play the cpu starts at about 20% but climbs steadily to about 70%. When the loop re-starts it generally drops back to 20ish again. If I remove al...

Re: Transpose function chewing resources.

hmmm... so the way I fixed the problem was to move the notes up or down in the piano roll rather than use the transpose. It now uses far less of the resources. It seemed to me to be the midi transposing function that was resource hog. Thanks for your reply.

Re: Transpose function chewing resources.

Thanks for the reply rim. I was using the transpose with Lyra on a chello to play up an octave and on twin 2 with various sounds. I was just surprised how much cpu it used. I thought it would just adjust the midi note that is sent through to the instrument and be very light on resources. Cheers.

Transpose function chewing resources.

I have been using the transpose function within the midi control panel and very quickly maxing out the cpu on my iPad Air 2. Turning the transpose back to zero for 6 instruments put the cpu back to about 20%. Seems odd that it was using up so much of the resources just to transpose some midi up a fe...

Re: Strange midi results when changing bpm.

Hi again. The checkbox to stop the import of the tempo map doesn't seem to be working. I've tried it a few times but it still changes the song tempo when I import a midi file. It seems to be re-timing the midi notes correctly when the bpm changes but getting the length of the segments wrong. Cheers.

Strange midi results when changing bpm.

Hi Rim. I'm working solely in midi and want to be able to slow down a track so that I can play in a difficult passage and then speed it up again to its original speed. I'm getting some very strange results in the midi when I change the speed though. Also, when I import one of the fantastic new midi ...

This is big

I've seen so many threads from people excitedly/impatiently awaiting the coming of Auria Pro. What is it that has them so worked up? I believe it's because Auria pro has the potential to be not only a leading daw but an incredible tool for writing and producing. An end to end solution so to speak. A...

How would one get ones self on the beta testing team? I'm a dev as well as a musician. I'd also donate a testicle to get my hands on Auria pro asap. :)

Something similar for the plugin names would be great too. I'm never sure which FabFilter Pr... Is which.
