Re: Sub Channels

Please, please, please can we have a way to hide sub channels in the mixer if we're not using them? Please? :(

Re: Anyone happily making air 2 music with auria?

The Air2 is featherweight in comparison, I don't think that will be an issue for you. Holding both, I can barely tell the difference in weight between my Air2 and my wife's Mini.

Re: Anyone happily making air 2 music with auria?

No issues here for me with the Air2. I mainly am just recording one synth at a time via IAA and the Qunexus, typically Nave or Alchemy, Sunrizer, maybe Photophore. Most of my songs are roughly 8-10 tracks total, very few effects most of the time, though usually those are the Fabfilter IAPs.

Quite a few plug ins use the same sort of thing, it's been around for years now.

Re: Fabfilter "A-B" button. what do YOU use it for if at all

I use it with the Limiter to compare the different limiting algorithms. I'll dial in my settings with the all purpose algorithm, hit copy to copy those parameters to the "B" version, then change only the algorithm in the "A" versions. Then I close my eyes and quickly flip back an...

Re: Turn down Master Fader - clipping?

If you're going to be using Pro-L on the master anyway, then it really doesn't matter. Other than being sloppy audio engineering :)

Re: Turn down Master Fader - clipping?

Normally I recommend leaving the master at 0 too, mainly because it just encourages good gain staging earlier in the chain. But if you're just clipping the master channel by a little bit, there's nothing wrong at all with just pulling the master fader down a bit to compensate. It's not like anyone h...

Re: Major Auria Announcement

Can we edit the audio quantizing, in case it mis-identifies transients, or detects too many?

Looks great, I love the new graphics. Transient editing will be nice too.

Congrats guys.

Re: any update - Auria on Air 2?

My Air2 was a minor upgrade in terms of overall performance, definitely a noticeable increase, but not by as much as you would expect. Most of my Auria projects are very low CPU anyway, so the scrolling bug really hasn't been an issue for me. I do a lot of recording too, haven't had any issues there.

The amp you use to drive the headphones (or not) makes a big difference too, you might not be comparing headphones with similar impedance.

Re: TS, TRS or XLR; Line level input or instrument level inp

I think it would help if you separate the signal strength of a cable from this whole balanced versus unbalanced issue. Whether a cable is balanced or not has nothing to do with what kind of signal it's carrying per se, it's just one tool to try and minimize noise in longer runs. Any signal level can...
