Ah ha! A double tap for input volume control!
Thanks so much!

Probably a stupid question about volume
Here's my chain of equipment: Mic -> Apogee One for iPad and Mac -> iPad So, I've been setting the "gain" of the Apogee One using its Maestro software. Generally keeping the signal in the lower third of the output (understanding that lower has very little penalty and higher can have bad re...

Re: Order of layers
Thanks! I was thinking that something like an ART Tube MP Studio V3 would allow me to use the 1/4" input for a mic of my choosing.

Order of layers
Hello all! I am planning to create our second CD, this time using Auria and an Apogee One rather than renting a studio. Our workflow will be completely different given that the interface only has one mic preamp and one 1/4" input. Lots of layering. To that end I've been working out the logistic...

Re: Firmware update for Apogee One "fails"
Thanks, Dominic. This is exactly what the support guys wrote. Other than this glitch, the Apogee One is killer.

Re: Record "arm" button goes away
Thanks, Washboy. I was thinking that same thing, but try as I might I couldn't "unpinch" it. And even after having deleted tracks the button stayed invisible. Again, probably some sort of user error. I'll play around some more.

Record "arm" button goes away
This may be a feature, or I may not know what I'm doing (the latter seems probable). Last night was the first time I'd recorded multiple tracks. I recorded two just fine and then somehow the little button on the waveform channel that "arms" that channel to record went away. I discovered th...

Re: Excited about this product
Well, it’s pretty cool. Frustrating at first, but really sort of amazing once I got the most basic hang of it. I’m talking about my mobile recording rig. I hooked it all up and attached a microphone to the Apogee One last night. Then I started Auria and could hear myself through the headphones. We’r...

Yeah it's awful - but it's my very first
Got home this evening with enough energy to try to hurdle all the issues. So I finally figured out how to use Dropbox on my PC and on the iPad and inside Auria. Then I figured out how to use my headphones while recording and finally how to record multiple channels! Woopee! :D Here's my awful recordi...

Firmware update for Apogee One "fails"
My brand new Apogee One for iPad and Mac gave me an issue right out of the box that's probably worth reporting here. Maestro (the iPad app for the Apogee One) immediately asks that you update the firmware on the device, but having done so it reports no version change and continues asking in an appar...

Re: Excited about this product
Haha :) I don't have anything with which to compare the Mackie CR3 monitor, but I almost wanted form over function (not really, but close). It took an hour or so but I just produced my first "recording" to Auria via the Apogee One's built-in mic and was able to listen to it. Woot woot. Bec...

The Avantone Audio CK-1 would probably be a good choice.

Excited about this product
Hello! Our band, Buzzard Whiskey, just put out its first EP in February but I'm new to home recording. On one boom-less mic-stand I have an Apogee One for iPad interface, an iPad in a swivel-clip running Auria, a Mackie CR3 monitor on a little clip-shelf, and a pair of AT M50x headphones. On another...
