Re: AAF import via Dropbox
Auria (and all DAWs actually) have no way of knowing which sample rate an aaf file is. This is because the AAF format does not include sample rates. So Auria looks at the first file and sets it's project sample rate to the sample rate of that file. So if you're audio files are all 48K, it should cre...

Re: File management features request and some AAF questions
Deleting is easy. Just swipe the project name while in the load project screen (same thing for audio files in the Load Audio File screen).

Re: Scarlett_I8i6 digital input sync?
From our tests, the Scarlett remembered it's settings permanently, so no need for a laptop.

Re: Scarlett_I8i6 digital input sync?
As far as digital sync, our test have shown that any changes you make while in the MixControl software (while on your mac/PC) do remain with the device, even after it's unplugged, and plugged into the iPad, so it's very possible you could make your changes while on the Mac, then connect it to the ip...

Re: Scarlett_I8i6 digital input sync?
It's probably just a standard answer, as they don't want to support a platform they're not familiar with (understandably). The firmware is most definitely already in their in the pipeline. They have assured me of that. We already have it. We tested it for them during our beta, and it works great, no...

Re: Scarlett 2i2
Yes, we've tested that interface and it works fine with Auria.

Guys, unfortunately, I can't get into any more specifics about our drawing code (I feel like I've opened a pandora's box
I hope you understand.

Yep, Garageband won't work with multichannel USB interfaces.

Re: AAF import via Dropbox
I am suspecting the same thing. When you look inside the local folder that was imported onto your ipad, do you see the wav files in there (in other words, did the wav files get copied over from drop box)? If so, I think there's an issue with your aaf file itself (a problem during conversion). Many p...

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
Retina fonts are no problem for things like buttons, but images that contain text as part of the image (like the mixer screen) won't improve unless we replace that entire image as a retina image, and that's when the memory starts being eaten up.

Re: 24 bit?
You shouldn't need to have GB running in the background. I would think that after you select the correct input, you could kill GB (double tap on the home button and close it). This way, it won't eat up extra memory. Auria needs all the memory it can get

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
We've made it as blocky as we can when displaying more than 8 tracks. Making it more blocky didn't speed it up significantly. A faster iPad will solve this (iPad 3 is no faster in this regard).

Re: Using the Presonus 1818vsl
The 1818vsl works well, and that's the interface we used to record the Auria demo song (in a barn). The only caveat is that the 1818's headphone output is permanently connected to outputs 7&8, and iPads can only output on 1&2. So the headphone jack can't be used. Instead, you must use the iPad's hea...

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
- MP3 import/export is already a feature in Auria. Importing is done automatically through the import audio page (you'll see MP3 files listed there), and exporting MP3 is an option in the mixdown page. - Retina support for Auria will only come when a new ipad becomes available with more RAM and fast...

Re: About dithering
We decided against dither when converting from 32 or 24 to 16, but it may appear in a future version as an user selectable option. All internal recording is done at 24 bits.
