Re: Dear Apple, where is our heavily expected Auria 1.10 upd

Brilliant! More than I was expecting. You are the best, Rim!

Now... Where is that "more info" about the update that was supposed to be around here somewheres?

Expandable, 4 ins, HQ Interface?

Modular, 4 ins, HQ Interface — That's what I'm looking for, with 2 or more outs. I'd like to have 4 inputs right now and add an additional 4 later on. Is there a brand and model anyone knows of that fits that bill? It must be iPad/Auria compliant, of course. It would be nice if the iPad could be cha...

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"

@Rim I know that MIDI is coming to Auria, apparently in stages, with the first bit coming in the very next update, which is fantastic news. I have no idea what is planned for the rest of Auria's MIDI implementation, but I have read some suggestions about triggering Drumagog with MIDI. If that is som...

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"

@Rim — I guess that this isn't in your direct control (at least I don't think it is), but I would really appreciate more Drumagog packs in the Auria store. I know that there are alternative ways to get gog files, but if it makes business sense at all for you and your gog file provider(s), I'd like t...

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"

I would love to see an old fashioned type VU meter as the master meter Just got a thing about them like the way they bounce to the music :D Whoa! If you decide to include that, Rim, please make it optional. I don't want to give up the screen real estate or the dual functionality of the LED meter th...

Re: What did you expect?

@Tukk68 — Hey, nice work. Are you playing everything, or is this a group effort? Totally true what you write about simplicity. Add too much and all you end up with is audio gruel.

Re: What did you expect?

Seems the other Daw had an update today and it seems they are going for the midi side of things in hopes that will define it from Auria cause they can't touch her mixing/mastering and editing power. And when Auria introduces her midi than they will lose that advantage. IMO Midi or not Auria is simp...

Re: Love this thing...

@RobB — a couple of other things worth mentioning... In my example, I started with a kit that was obviously electronic in order to demonstrate the total replacement by Drumagog, but if you start with a kit that is closer to what you want the end result to be, you can mix those sounds with the Drumag...

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"

@Rim — most of the desktop DAW software has a feature like that. The developers all call it something different and claim it is exclusive to their own software. It's usually part of or along side an "audio quantize" feature. I thought it might help to know that as you "...look into it...

Re: Pro C Display Resolution

Hardly seems fair, does it? They get to make more money because you provided them with an opportunity. The least they could do is return the favor with a small kickback for every one they sell. :)

Re: Love this thing...

Here is just a quick example. The first part is the source files I sequenced in DM1 and imported into Auria. The 2nd part is the same tracks with Drumagog replacing the source. Something funky is going on with my upload, though. It sounds like a heavily compressed mp3 with all kinds of aliasing. I'm...

Re: Love this thing...

@Anthony — I've used that method also, but I usually wasn't satisfied with the results because altering the volume level of the samples didn't sound close to the way drums & other percussion instruments sound when they are struck harder, softer, or in slightly — or significantly — different area...

Re: Love this thing...

Sorry everyone. the day got away from me. I will get the audio up today sometime. Yes, Dm1 has the issue of being 'grid perfect', as pointed out by RobB. At the risk of sounding difficult to believe, the drummer I spent all my years writing with was pretty well 'grid perfect' on his own. I think tha...
