for ducking you'd need side-chain input. Is there side-chain in Auria? That would be new to me.Spud wrote:Or you could set another compressor/limiter at a higher threshold only triggered by that really loud bit and use a very high compression ratio to really crush it.

Re: external sync track
I would use MIDI out from Auria into a MIDI-Sync or MIDI-CV box, that's easier.
But if you do it with a click track, I don't see the problem. Auria is the master, right? Feed the click track into your synths, and record stereo into the stereo input.

Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS
don't know the song in question, but from the description there could also be some ducking applied to the instruments, triggered by the voice level.

Re: Some nice convolution reverb impulse files...
like it was discussed earlier in this thread, I believe the M-to-S IR's are mono-to-stereo , not mid-side. The latter is usually named m/s. Although I must admit, a mono-to-stereo IR file doesn't make sense. Well I'll just experiment and use those files that sound best. The technical/intellectual/lo...

Re: Some nice convolution reverb impulse files...
I thought the L and R IR's were mono, and was wondering why the M-to-S IR had the same file size. I checked them in an audio editor, and L, R, and M-to-S IR's appear to be all stereo files. But the question remains, which one should we choose for a stereo channel in Auria? And why are the Bricasti L...

Re: Some nice convolution reverb impulse files...
the Bricasti IR's are mono left and mono right, and one for mono-to-stereo. I don't know what the last one is doing, I would think that the two mono IR's should be used. Should they be converted to a stereo IR before importing into Auria? Or is the mono-to-stereo IR the right one?

how do you use those IR's in a stereo track, for example in a subgroup?

Re: Playing along with a recorded track
I think @Rim added this feature (and has it set on by default) because of the number of support requests from new users who were stumped by not being able to hear the playback of what they'd just recorded! you're probably right with your assumption. On the other hand, it should be clear that...

that's what I did in the recent sessions, which I found a bit strange. Thank you Washboy for the tip with the Auto Input Monitor.Manimpretty wrote:I usually just hit record, set the levels then delete.
Auto Input Monitor should be off by default, in my opinion.

Re: Video Import/Export upside down
alright, sorry. Still would be interesting what you find out with other video clips. I have imported only two or three for testing purposes, and they all displayed fine in Auria. Even the playback performance was good. I think they were all proxies, downscaled versions of the originals. That's what ...

-With my iPad 2, i was able to record 5 tracks of drums for a full kit, at 44.1, with a stereo track running as reference. -When i kicked up to 96K, i got anomolies and insane audio artifacts. not sure if this applies to your case, but in general: recording at 44.1kHz creates audio files at that sa...

Re: Can you add a Tape Saturation Plugin?
some of those plugins are quite demanding in CPU. I think, for the moment, it is better to transfer your Auria project to your DAW and do the tape saturation there. Running 10 instances of Satin would be way too much for an iPad4. You need a modern workstation for that. In future when more powerful ...
