Trigger open and closed HH in Drumagog

OK,

I have a track with open and closed HH. How do I get Drumagog to trigger OPEN for the open HH and CLOSED for the closed HH?

Only the PC/Mac version of Drumagog has auto HH tracking. With the Auria version, this must be done manually by moving the articulation control. Of course, you'll need to have a HH gog file loaded which has multiple articulations in it.

You can automate the articulation control in Auria.

My thought was to duplicate the HH track. On one, set the threshold to trigger open, on the other set the threshold to trigger closed. Is there a way to do that?

Usually, the volumes are too similar between open and closed hi hats, so there's no way to do it the way you describe.

The volume of the open HH is 1/2 of the closed HH on my track. Does this mean there is a way to do as I described? Thanks.

Sure! If that's the case, you may be in luck. Try it and see what happens.

Hi Rim,

I don't know if I would be able to describe my problem...
Regarding the articulation control with hihat in drumagog, I want to make for example a shot opened and immediately after a shot closed.
My problem is that when I make this shot fully opened, it stays opened and the following shot doesn't close it...
Is there a way to do it? Cause the articulation system is pretty useless like that...

The full version of Drumagog for the Mac/PC will support what you're describing. There's a control in the settings on that version called "choke", which will choke the open hh sample when a closed hh sample is played. But this is part of the auto hihat tracking system, and is difficult to port to the Auria version, so it's only available in the full version.
