Midi Track with Audio both inside
Midi Track with Audio both inside
Hi Rim,
I know you are working hard on Midi implementation,
I want to give you some advice, a problem of other daw that use the midi with audio is the fact that the midi track is separated from audio that will then be recorded, not to create an excessive number of tracks, it would be better to have a track midi hybrid, with the audio inside.
I do not know whether I have explained...

Interesting... I'll think about this.
Thanks,
Rim
Thanks,

Thanks Rim, after 1.12 update I have solved my problem on Rhythm Paradise....Thanks again

What do you mean with hybrid track?
When you record a midi track you have, in the same track, also the audio track?
So if you record a piano track you will have a piano roll and the related wave?

Re: Midi Track with Audio both inside
This is an intriguing idea that would keep the total number of tracks I use to half! The way I create music on a DAW is that I do everything live via MIDI until the very end when I'm satisfied with the composition and want to record the audio. Currently, I don't use Auria for composing because I don't want to waste my time recording audio tracks that I'm going to want to change over and over again as I get deeper into the composition.
I'm currently stuck using Cubasis and I hate it but least it has both MIDI and audio functionality. So far, it's been very frustrating choosing between Cubasias and Auria; Cubasis lacks in audio features, fx, and overall functionality while Auria is missing MIDI sequencing completely.
However, judging by Rim's quality programming skills and the amazing audio quality in Auria, he will eventually bury Cubasis once he implements MIDI sequencing. I have no doubt.

Yes...is right, metallo wrote:What do you mean with hybrid track?

Using Cubase since Atari and was turned on without Audio, After I switched to Logic since 3.5 version...
this has always been a thing that crossed my mind but no one DAW has ever thought of doing it,
Auria could be the first to solve this problem.

Tracktion was a DAW that had generic tracks that could be used for audio or midi.

That would be interesting but not sure if really useful.
I mean, when I record a midi part, mainly with the ipad, I use "temporary" midi instruments just to catch the idea...my regular process is to record on the ipad with a midi instrument on a DAW (cubasis at the moment)....after I plug the ipad on my kronos or on my Cubase where I have few good VSTs and I play what I recorded with different instruments.
In this case what wav file there would be in the midi track I recorded?
How it would work?
