I do my midi work without Auria up and running. i tend to work on my midi tracks seperately then import the completed midi tracks into Auria for mixing. And like I said just because midi is inside of Auria doen't nessesarily mean it won't be as taxing on the cpu as running a midi app with Auria. I personally use Multitrack Studio for iPad ( he makes a PC version too) which has midi editing to the 9s and your beloved piano roll editor. I even record my audio tracks there too and just import it all into Auria. And my question as to what Auria will bring to the iPad midi editing world that I don't already have won't be answered until Auria's midi arrives. So until then the question as to how much better Auria will be than my other midi apps will remain unanswered. I'm simply posting this here to let Auria users know that there are alternatives if midi is needed now in thier workflow.
For sure, it's not the end of the world -- there are ways to work with MIDI and Auria even though the latter doesn't have MIDI yet. I simply have not had a rosy experience (probably because I prefer a workflow where MIDI and audio are in the same app). I actually have Multitrack Studio for iPad, but my initial enthusiasm for the app has waned.

I'm very excited at the possibilities of what a committed developer like Rim will be bringing to the table MIDI-wise to Auria. So I will continue to patiently as I am able.

The app switching is a workflow killer for me.
I always find myself using Caustics, sketching very fast and building up my song easily (Music creation should also be fun :!: ).
After having a complete creation I export it into Auria (via Caustics secret steam export button :D ).

If midi tracks in Auria will convert via simple button-clicks into Audio tracks (i.e. "Render Midi To Audio" button ) then the workflow will be perfect. Actually this action is very similar to track freezing.

At this point I'd almost prefer a sneak release. Just one day... BAM! OMG, it's here...

Dragging it out with a UI sneak peak might only aggravate people further. :x

I can see this turning into a 2015 release.. I hope not. But from what I can gather id say it's almost certain. Don't forget rim codes all on his own and says he treats it like being an artist.. With this in mind u could well be waiting for a 2016 release.. Lol

Maybe it's time to employ another coder? Speculate to accumulate and all that. But I can't help think an extra coder would be nothing but a benefit for the company and would certainly speed up the process.. It's inly a matter if time before Cubase and or the other competition start getting up to pc daw spec. None of the pro company's have taken iOS seriously as any one of them could of rolled out a proper daw.. Look a cubasis. There's no way that steinbergs proper in house coders worked on cubasis. More like they hire a group of young up and coming coders to start from scratch. It's like a toy or has been.. Same as lots of iOS stuff.. Retronyms duck? That's a joke right.
