Hello there,
I have recorded some chimes and I would like them to travel from hard right to hard left. Do I do this by:
1. automating the panning;
2. use to tracks panned hard left and hard right and then automate the faders to bring one up whilst bringing the other down; or
3. some other way.
Whichever method, I would appreciate it if somebody could respond and explain how.
Cheers

How to Automate Panning
Re: How to Automate Panning
Hi there, when I want the swirly panning effect I generally automate the panning, I find that easier as you have a good control of the speed you want the panning to be.
If you're not sure of the steps, I would do it like this.
1.Pan chimes hard right/left
2.Press W on this tracks channelstrip
3.Press play on the transport
4.When you want the panning to start, turn the pan dial from right to left or vice versa.
5.When you're happy with that, press the W switch off and press the R.
6.Job done.
Good luck
Aaron
