EQ The Mix To Sound Like iPad Speaker?

Post by Alim » Thu Dec 18, 2014 7:09 am

What EQ settings and or compressor/limiter settings could I use to make the final mix sound the same as when previewing a mix through the iPad speaker? Just like everyone else, I record and mix my sessions using headphones/monitors, but sometimes I really fall in love with the sound of the mix coming from the internal speaker.

A bandpass around 2kHz with a narrow Q will likely get you close, though I haven't measured the output from an iPad specifically.

How do you mimic the rattle & buzz of the iPad Air's speakers?
Sorry, I'll get my coat.
