iCloud

Hey guys
Just wondering how does the iCloud work
Can you save your individual songs like drop box or does it just save the app
I'm thinking to upgrade to 50g of space but auria saves would be main usage ?

Can't wait for auria pro are we close to giving a launch date yet?

In settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage > "your device" >

You can see a list of how much data is being backed up per app. This will tell you how much space your songs are going to take up in iCloud.

I hope that clears it up a little.

Thanks Marty
But how does it actually save is it like
Dropbox so if I had a project in auria eg project 1 and its saved to iCloud can I just load project 1 for example.
Or does just save a copy of the entire app.

Hope I explained it well

The iCloud part is Apples way to back up app data that you have created along with settings that need to be saved. Auria also has an "export to DropBox" feature though if that is more along the lines of what you prefer.

My idevices all get backed up over wifi every night when I plug them into a wall charger. There's a switch to turn this on and off in settings.

I believe that only the data gets backed up to iCloud, not the app itself...just like an iTunes backup to iCloud.

Therefore, you must back up your apps to your hard drive. This is a good thing to do in case an app is discontinued and no longer available in the App Store...can you say "Camel Audio Alchemy"? :o (Yes, I know Apple now owns it and has made it available for free in Logic Pro X...however, it is not yet available for iOS.)
