Hello, I'm using a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 - is that the same thing as a Saffire 1818?

Do you remember what sort of changes you made to "the settings"? If so, it might help diagnosis if you can give some detail.

No, I cannot remember them all, but I reset them all as I went through. I trawled this forum looking for advice and acted upon the ideas other people had posted. I must have tried a dozen different things, giving them all time to work. At the moment the Auria App is on it's original factory settings.
