You can store multiple versions of your songs without copying the audio files over and over again.Coming in version 1.06 i guess.

A snapshot is only a copy of the project data itself, so your audio files are not part of the snapshot. A typical snapshot is only a few KB in size, so you could create thousands with very little disk space used.

Sweet! This is a good addition. No more scouring your synched files with the computer, tripple checking your filenames before manually deleting everything.

Now, Rim just wondering, is there deliniation between save types? For instance we are still able to copy a session with audio files and everything, or alternatively choose a snapshot 'settings only' copy type save?

Both types will be available, so you'll still be able to make a copy of a project just like you are now.

As an added bonus, the file format for the snapshot files are .prj, so they are interchangeable with project files in case one becomes corrupted.
