Select highlighted regions.
Select highlighted regions.
Just got 1.05 update. How does select highlighted regions work. I couldn't find it in the manual.
Thank you,

Re: Select highlighted regions.
Looks like you double tap to reveal the scissors and drag across regions / tracks, then choose "select highlighted regions". Any regions fully covered in your highlighted area will now have a blue border for further editing. I'm sure Rim will confirm / correct this.
Re: Select highlighted regions.
Sweet. I just tried it and it worked. I was one of the ones to suggest this in the wish list. I'm sure somebody had beaten me to it in the previous pages of the wish list but I stopped reading all the wishes after about th 10th page. LOL.

To highlight part of a region, you do this:
1. Double tap on where you want to start highlighting
2. Don't let go of the second tap - keep your finger on the screen.
3. Drag your finger to where you want to end.
4. Let go.

So much easier than selecting all those little rectangles one by one. Nice add on

Re: Select highlighted regions.
Could it be made so that any regions even touching the highlighted area gets selected? This is how I'd anticipated it to work, the same as in all the daw's I've used. Currently the highlighted area has to cover the entire region for it to be included it in the selection.
Re: Select highlighted regions.
Yes, this is already a feature in 1.05, called "Select Highlighted Regions". It will turn any region completely engulfed by a highlight into a selection.

Re: Select highlighted regions.
When I highlight regions on just one track and press "select highlighted regions" it selects regions on ALL my tracks.
It does that in all my sessions. Is it the way it's supposed to behave? Or am I missing something?

Re: Select highlighted regions.
No, it's not supposed to work that way. Are you sure you're not choosing "select all regions"? I just tested it and it works here. I draw a highlight around a few regions (they have to be completely inside the highlight). Then I press "Select Highlighted Regions", and it turns those regions blue.

Re: Select highlighted regions.
Yes, that's exactly the way I do it.
But I was wrong about ALL regions. It just selects random regions inside the boundries of the highlight-tool.
Here are some pictures attached.

Re: Select highlighted regions.
OK, I found the problem - it is selecting regions on any track that fall into the highlighted time range, instead of just the tracks that were in the highlight box. I've fixed this for 1.06. Sorry for the trouble.

Not a problem. I'm sorry about that, we should have caught that early on!

Re: Select highlighted regions.
would be good to make it so that any region even touching the highlighted area would be selected, seems more intuitive. Not sure if its easy to program or not.
