Some IAA entries are gone in Auria LE upgraded

Post by Shay » Sat Dec 07, 2013 8:33 am

Hi,

After buying the HoldernessMedia filters ("Echo Pad" and "Swoopster") the following apps are missing from the FX IAA blue entries:
1. Alchemy Mobile
2. Sugarbytes Turnado and WOW2.

This issue adds up to the problem of WOW2 missing as a plugin, which I think you said will be fixed in next version.
I attached a screenshot of IAA plugins.

I have IPad 3, IOS7.0.4, Latest Auria LE upgraded to full.

Thanks,
Shay

I have no idea why IAA plugins would be missing from your list, as Auria has no control over this. Auria simply presents the list that iOS provides. But the issue with Turnado and WOW2 not showing up in Auria is different. This had to do with the native Auria plugin versions of Turnado and WOW2. The next Auria update will fix this. IAAs are handled completely differently, and are not affected by this bug.

Have you tried rebooting the iPad, or deleting those apps and reinstalling them? Sounds like a bug in iOS7 to me.

I haven't seen Alchemy in my IAA list since it's last update and I don't use those plug ins. Frustrating.

This might be an issue on their end. Have you contacted them about it?

Hi Rim,

I was checking and in AudioShare Alchemy Mobile does appear, please see the following screenshots.
I notice that it is the only one who show only as instrument. The rest show as both instruments and generators.
Does Auria show only generators?

S.B doesn't appear there as well. Not as generator and not as effect.

Thanks,
Shay

Auria supports all IAA categories (Generator, Instrument and Effect). I just installed Alchemy here, and it shows up fine in Auria. It displays as "Camel Audio: Alchemy (Generator)". Have you tried rebooting?

I've tried rebooting and uninstalling, reinstalling Alchemy, still won't show in Auria. Likely an issue more on their side than yours I realize, haven't heard back from them yet though after I reported this.

The only question is why do I see it AudioShare?
If it was on their side then both apps shouldn't show it. Or am I missing something?

IAA is a complete mystery to developers, since Apple hasn't published any docs on it. So it's anyone's guess why it shown up in one host and not in another. Auria simply takes the list of IAAs and displays them in the insert selector. There's nothing complicated there from a coding perspective.

Does Auria show only generators?

Auria displays all IAAs: Instruments, Generators, Effects and MusicEffects.

I am experiencing the same issue in the full version of Auria. Alchemy does not appear on the list of plugins. It does show up in Cubasis... I am on iOS 7.0.4 on an iPad Air, with the latest versions of Auria (1.140) and Alchemy Pro (2.2.5).

I've got this on my list to investigate for the next update.

Hi Rim,

Why some apps show the same IAA twice, e.g. one as generator and one as instruments and Auria shows each IAA only once?

Thanks,
Shay

Auria only uses the first on in the list from each category, so if it's listed twice, Auria picks the first one.
