The same sample sounds differ on the other track

Post by Kranick » Sat Jan 09, 2016 12:06 am

I tried to test samples from the Drive Monster Drums library. I insert the same midi file on the track 1 and track 2 and load the same sample kit (7B). And I found that it has a different sound. I've made a short video - you coud find it in bellow. Also you could download my project from dropbox.

Is it a bug?

It looks like you have some real time MIDI controls set on track 1, and you don't have these set on track 2. For example, I see Random velocity is enabled on track 1, and a little bit of velocity compression. Also, you have quantizing enabled on track 1, and not on track 2. These settings might explain the difference, if Lyra is choosing different samples based on the velocity.

Oops... That's clear! Thank you Rim! I think I have to read the manual again ;)
