Loop length bug inconsistency on import

Post by RedSkyLullaby » Mon Mar 01, 2021 11:10 pm

Anyone else getting issue importing stems of exact same length/bpm but when duplicate the loop points are glitchy because the files import at slightly different lengths as shown in attached photo (these were all stems exported at 90bpm which loop fine in audioshare and audio evoltion mobile

So basically these files appear slightly different lengths imported to Auria and do not loop smoothly when duplicated wheras in other DAW are exact same length on import and loop fine. They are all stems exported from same app(Endlesss) from same project/bpm

Are they all the same file format, sample rate, bit-depth, etc?

I believe so yes. All aiff format and export from single project at single bpm

Also been getting bug now for a while where after drag and drop of files on to audio tracks some cannot be dragged all the way to zero. Photo attached show zoom in to zero and these tracks are all dragged back as close to zero as they will go. This means have to move everything and line it up to start on measure 2 or 3 instead

That’s wild.

What happens if you try to change the length of the events. There were some import anomalies that used to fix themselves if one tried to drag to change the length of the events.

What is the format, sample rate etc. on the files.

If you make so,e of the files that don’t work available somewhere, I can see if they happen for me, too.

Looks like adjusting the start point of the file then putting it back again allows file to then be moved back to zero, overall file length not being consistent to an exact round number of bars still an issue though. Will have to do some more testing later

If you have Auditor, open the files and see if they are all the same number of samples long. If they are , re-export as a different file type (wav) just in case the aiff files have some funky metadata that is throwing AP off.

Pretty sure not a samples long issue and tried wav versions also. Exact same samples import and loop perfectly to the bar in both garageband and audio evolution mobile. I want to carry on using Auria but the amount of bugs I am getting with simple duplication and even moving stuff to zero in the timeline is making it an exercise in frustration to use for me these days

Here are a few wav files 90bpm that are exact to round number of bars looping in audioshare, audio evolution mobile and garageband but come up short of exact bars imported to auria if you want to try see if you get same result

This is how short they are imported to Auria

Same two wavs in garageband hit the 5 measure exact and loop smoothly

They load for me as 4 measure loops (one is half that length). My project is 44.1 kHz Is it possible your project is 48khz and it brings the files in without sample rate converting them? This would explain their being too short.

Here is what they look like in AP for me:

Yes Am on 44.1 also that is what they look like for me when zooomed out, if you zoom right in To the 5 is when you can see the dicrepancy. Do they still look exact length if you zoom in to max ?

Also try duplicating loop a few times. Also been getting slight overlap where the duplicated loop is overlapping by a hair when you zoom in rather than being right up against end of previous audio
