Hello,
I'm about to buy Sonoma Wireworks guitar jack model 2.
Does anyone know if it's going to work with Auria?
And what about Apogee Duet 2 (self powered)?
Thanks

Has anyone tried using either one of these recorders/interfaces? I have both and use the R24 as my primary recorder in my setup but if it works with Auria, it may alleviate me having to take a PC to records Bands.

Thanks!

Anyone know if it will work with the Belkin Tune Studio, either via a dock extender cable, or the USB cable via the Camera Kit?

Thanks,
MK

Hi, as Stated many Times Apogee Duet 2 doesn't work since it is not class compliant.

Yes,
but isn't it the case with Apogee One too? I saw videos featuring it with the iPad...

Finally I found another hub that works perfect. It provides more power to the device.

Monitoring and focusrite Scarlett mix control

Post by marcez » Fri Jul 20, 2012 7:54 pm

I can't disable the monitoring signal on the focusrite Scarlett 18i6 when I plug directly to the iPad

The solution I found was to configure the routes on the mix control with the audio card connect it to the MacBook, save the configuration, unplugged the USB cable and plug in to the iPad .
If I must turn off (unplugged the power cable) the Scarlett. the default configuration change everything again and the signal is always monitoring.

Is there anyway to save the "special" configuration (iPad with Auria software monitoring) and be able to turn off the audio card without loosing it?

Thank you.

You're right. Hardware monitoring with USB audio devices is tricky on an iPad, since there's no "control panel" for the USB device on an iPad, so you can't easily adjust the monitor levels. Your workaround is a good idea, and that's what the Focusrite engineers recommended as well.

I didn't understand your question about saving parameters, though.

Ipad2 with Alesis Iodock, how compatible with Auria?

Post by Dobrogwt » Sat Jul 21, 2012 12:35 am

Hi, I'm just about to purchase the Auria program as it looks great. I already have the Iodock by Alesis, the Ipad2 which is loaded with 64GB and wondering if this set-up will be recognized and a good combination? Also will I be able to use the iOS GarageBand to lay down drums, bass, keys, etc, and continue working on a project in Auria? How will those tracks appear in Auria and will they be available for further processing once they are in Auria? Thanks in advance, -Glenn

Rim, scuse my bad English

I'll try to clarify my question.

I want to control de input signal with the Auria monitoring, arm a track, maybe with and fx and hear that signal only, not the "doubling effect" produce when software and hardware are monitoring.
Can I record thru the focusrite without using the focusrite monitoring?
Can I use only software monitoring?

Thanks again for your patience and enormous support.

OK, I understand. Yes, you should be able to disable the hardware monitoring in your Focusrite by using the MixControl software. As long as you save the configuration using Mixcontrol, it should remember this configuration, even when the power is off.

Yes, the ioDock will work great with Auria, and this is a good solution for 2 channels in and out. There's no direct way to move files between garageband and other apps (garageband doesn't support Audio Copy/Paste). But you can move the garageband files off your ip[ad, onto your Mac or PC, then back onto Auria pretty easily, using iTunes File Sharing.

Thanks for the useful tips everyone.....

.....I'm still having problems however.

I have a powered USB hub and a cheap (copy) cck.

Auria doesn't recognise the setup as it remains on 'int'....
I've wired the hub as Rim suggested. Output to iPad, input from the 18i6

I can see I will possibly need either a higher powered hub (from the previous messages in this forum), or I need to stump for a cck from apple. Or both maybe....

Any thoughts before I start splashing cash around?

Thanks in advance..

We've seen a lot of reports about the non-genuine Camera Connection Kits not working properly with iPads. That's the most likely issue here. The USB/INT display in Auria is tied directly to Apple's code which detects a USB device, so if that's not turning on, the iPad's not seeing a USB device. Do you have access to a genuine CCK to test?
