How well M-Audio Fast Track USB MKI or MK2 soundcard works with Auria?

I have one of these and will test it out tonight and get back to you.psandifer wrote:Can someone tell me if the Alesis Multimix 8 USB Interface will work well with Auria?
Cubase 7.5, Dual Quad MAC PRO, 8GB Ram, OS 10.5, Mackie DL1608, Drumagog 5, Reason 6, Behringer FCA1616, M-Audio Keystation PRO 88, Behringer ADA8200, UAD2
Re: The Working / Not working audio interfaces thread
Sorry, I didn't get to that last night. Tonight, I will check the MultiMix.

Re: The Working / Not working audio interfaces thread
OK, trust me when I say that I am just a disappointed writing this as you are hearing it but when I connect the Alesis MultiMix8 both direct and with a powered hub I get a message saying "Cannot Use Device" "The connected USB device is not supported."
Now I need to find a similar, small format mixer that will work. Has anyone tried the Behringer XENYX 1204?

Presonus Audiobox 44 VSL
Has anyone tested this interface with Auria yet?
Re: The Working / Not working audio interfaces thread
Made a test with the hongkong 5 in 1 hub (non powered) and with a voicelive touch.
Seems to work perfectly with a quick test, need some in depth testing.

Re: The Working / Not working audio interfaces thread
Hi,
Forgive me if this has been asked before... I've seen various messages addressing it but not totally clear answers.
My question is this: If I use a Fireface or a 18i6 will it charge my ipad while I use it? I don't want to use Alesis's devices, but I want to be able to record on my ipad for longer than a half hour. Is there any non-Alesis interface that does?
If I can't charge the ipad and use an interface at the same time it gets rather inconvenient, as I''ll have to keep using and then recharging the ipad to record. Is the Alesis devices the only ones that will do this?
Thanks

Using my 1818VSL with a powered hub, I don't have any problems with battery life. I make sure the iPad is fully charged before I start recording. I had Auria loaded and was doing some recording the other day for a 2-3 hours. When I shut everything off and checked the battery, I still had 80% of the battery charge left. I do keep the screen brightness low. Does the Fireface/Scarlet draw power from the ipad's USB?

no, I don't think they draw power, as they are powered by separately. I'm just worried my recording endurance will last longer than my ipad battery.mandodon wrote:Using my 1818VSL with a powered hub, I don't have any problems with battery life. In case anyone needs a portable battery Amazon has the New Trent I Carrier 12000 mAh for 76.00 but if more power is needed
Hyperjuice makes a battery that has 61000mAh and can power a MacBook pro for 32 hours. Amazon had a deal buy the i Carrier and get the 6000mAh Imirror for free. I will be using it with the behringer and my korg microstation

I'm using the Powermotion 12000 mAh battery myself, seem very similar to the New Trent unit. The price was almost identical.

Re: The Working / Not working audio interfaces thread
How are you using the Powermotion?
Auria and Lynx Aurora
So are we saying that the Lynx Aurora 8 & 16 are compatible with Auria on an iPad providing you have the Lynx LT-USB card installed because it is class compliant? You would still need some form of gain control prior to the analog inputs of the Aurora, either mic pres or analog mixer channel outs.

Re: The Working / Not working audio interfaces thread
This really blows, I bought a $50 app that I can't use until I buy a $300 interface. I am really kind of bummed right now. Out of 3 interfaces that I have already, none are compatible.

Re: The Working / Not working audio interfaces thread
I completely understand your frustration. This is an issue with all iPad apps. Manufacturers just need to make their devices class compliant. If an interface works on an iPad, it'll work in Auria. Hopefully more interface companies will step up to the plate soon.
