Re: Auria Pro: Sneak Peek video
Finally get to see Matt. Hey Matt, has anyone ever told you that you look a bit like Penn Jillette?
I much prefer being in the directors chair as opposed to being on camera. I had to host my own local music program and hated having to be on camera. You are a natural.
Oh and I always wanted to tell you guys that your manual is one of the best around. Thanks for all.

Re: Auria Pro: Sneak Peek video
Very nice. Can I ask a few short questions?
- Will it be possible to draw velocity curves / slopes? (in the best case, only applied to the currently selected notes)
- Will I be able to change the length of all seleced notes at once? (either absolutely or relatively)
- Will there be absolute / relative snapping (all moved notes snap to the grid individually, or the entire selection moves along the grid, not changing relative event positions)?
- Will it be possible to move events only vertically / only horizontally?
Sorry if this has already been asked elsewhere.

Re: Auria Pro: Sneak Peek video
Yes to all the questions except the first one - I'm not sure what you mean exactly - a note can only have one velocity, so I'm not sure how you'd have a curve.

Re: Auria Pro: Sneak Peek video
Thanks Rim. Regarding the first question: If I draw a line from left to right and velocity 0 to 127, the notes in between would then have velocity 0 on the left, 63 in the middle, and 127 on the right Kinda like editing velocity like a controller. To draw crescendos etc.

Re: Auria Pro: Sneak Peek video
What a great video Matt. You looked great and sounded so pro. The audio bussing is what blew me away. This solves so much for me and there are no routing limitations in Auria anymore allowing for some really cool Fabfilter mastering tricks and audio interfacing options. I knew from the first day I saw Auria that I would dedicate the rest of my musical life to it. I studied it hard, recorded some great tracks and shared what I learned with the world and turned my entire studio into an iPad only studio minus all the analog stuff I use.lol. Auria continues to give me plenty to learn and I'm sure I will get a question or two on some of the great new Auria Pro features. Thanks for all of this Matt I really enjoyed the video. Made my day. Cheers.__/)~~~*
Re: Auria Pro: Sneak Peek video
OK, thanks - I misunderstood. Auria Pro won't have that exactly, but you'll be able to highlight a section and use the Crescendo function on that section. You could also automate the volume using the normal audio-based automation for that track. However, standard MIDI controllers will be handled in the way you describe (like pitch bend, sustain, etc), just not note-based data like volume.

Re: Auria Pro: Sneak Peek video
Fair enough, that should suffice. Maybe offer a few select crescendo curves (linear, log etc.) in a later update
BTW: You might want to use the first and last note's existing velocities, and then interpolate between the two, so that the user can easily set the start/end velocities for the crescendo.

Hey Rim,
Lovely Stuff!
Rename Region:
I'm assuming this is for both midi And audio?
And this would mean we can, for example, time stretch a region and give it a name of our choice?
Also hoping we can rename files and folders from within the file system? (Or even just files)
Anyway, see ya in a bit, just going to watch that great video again...

renaming is for both audio and midi regions, yes. No folder or file renaming yet though.

Re: Auria Pro: Sneak Peek video
Can we hide the aux channels in the new version if we don't need them?
Re: Auria Pro: Sneak Peek video
The aux channels look the same as the current version. There's a new button which lets you select which two auxes you want to use.
