KB1 Midi Keyboard AU not working

Post by -ki » Wed Dec 12, 2018 1:39 am

Auria Pro V2.21 / IOS 12.1 / iPad Pro 10.5

The notes/CCs from Numerical Audio‘s KB1 Midi AU keyboard are not recorded or picked up by Auria Pro.

How to reproduce
  • On a midi track insert KB1 as instrument
  • On an audio track insert a midi au instrument (just to have a receiving AU available in the midi out list of the KB1 track), record enable that audio track to receive the midi
  • At the KB1 track, direct the midi out to the AU instrument on the audio track. Record enable the KB1 track to record the notes
  • Open KB1, press record and play for Auria and then play the KB1 keyboard, then stop recording
=> No notes played by the AU instrument and no notes recorded on the KB1 midi track.

This setup is identical to the working setup of Rozeta XoX midi AU sending midi to a Ruismaker AU on an audio channel which i confirmed working with Auria Pro V2.21.

Without having one of these keyboards it’s difficult to know what the problem might be. Have you tried contacting the manufacturer?

Hi Rim, it's not a hardware keyboard, it's an AU MIDI app:
