That's odd. It sounds like something out of Auria's control, as Auria simply records/monitors everything that Audiobus gives it. Have you tried asking this in the Audiobus forums, or Moog's forum?

Grain Science - Audiobus - Auria
Re: Grain Science - Audiobus - Auria
Almost sounds like a background audio issue? I've noticed that different apps seem to have slightly different ways of interacting with Audiobus.

Hi Dave,
I can confirm that GS doesn't record in Auria using AB. GS does record in MTDaw tho.

Re: Grain Science - Audiobus - Auria
On my iPad 2 I notice that some apps work better than others with Auria and Audiobus; Nlog, Animoog, Sunrizer, Beatbox, seem fine but PPG and DM drum machine don't work at all. I still have lots more to test but I'm thinking that its a memory/CPU limit issue.
Re: Grain Science - Audiobus - Auria
Even without using Audiobus, I have a very reproducible crash when I open DM-1 and Auria is open. But the 2nd attempt will open DM-1. Sometimes I will shutdown Auria if I plan to create some new patterns in DM-1.
Re: Grain Science - Audiobus - Auria
The non-audiobus crashing issues are usually because other audio apps don't like Auria's large buffer size. A workaround is to go to auria's settings page and enable audiobus mode (even if you're not using audiobus). This forces Auria to use a buffer size of 512, which other apps can deal with more easily. Of course, as a tradeoff, auria's CPU usage is a lot higher with a 512 sample buffer.
