I tend to use a mixture of both live instruments and synths etc.
Create a template as follows
Mono tracks
Stereo tracks
Midi tracks
Stereo tracks with Aux inputs for effects either I.A.A or Auv3
Be careful when using I.A.A's on the sub's because when
you add or delete tracks the I.A.A's get moved around or stop working.
There is still the problem of the correct Aux channels not working properly but
the developers are working on that at the moment as mentioned in a previous thread.
Set the playback to high as you can either 256 or 512 for some reason mine doesn't go
to 1024 and the recording buffer as low as you can to minimise tearing, clicks etc.
When running 43 tracks of combined stereo, mono and midi, mainly audio tracks,
I found it can get a little glitchy
Bear in mind I am using a Behringer Q802U for tracking so you will most probably get
better results using a much better usb interface with USB 2 or higher rather than USB 1.1.
My base system is an, 'iPad Pro 9.7" 256Gb, usb interface Behringer Q802U'
Preamps
TL Audio 5051 MKi
iCon Pro Audio Reotube G2X
Various L.D.C microphones
Instruments
Vocals
Acoustic and Electric guitars
Electric bass
Various percussion
Various synths recorded as both midi and from external sources
My workflow until the next update

Re: My workflow until the next update
I’ve read that iOS prevents setting the latency over 512 if midi is used.

Re: My workflow until the next update
Thank you, I had read that somewhere
and totally forgot it about in this context.
Thank you for the reminder,
I'll definitely bear that in mind for the future.
